To answer this, consider where to place your flag and on what kind of ground. In the front lawn of a business or in front of a trade show booth?

Sometimes buyers need to purchase more than one base to make feather flags or flying banners more versatile. Ground Stake: Both ground stakes and ground screws support your wind flag in soft, outdoor ground, such as grass, dirt, and sand. It can be hammered or twisted into soil. Be sure to hammer the right area and let the ground spike down into the hard layer; otherwise, your flagpole will tilt. Cross-base Beach Flag cross bases are for flat, solid surfaces, such as pavement and asphalt outdoors or hard indoor floors.

Choose the right cross base depending on the weight of the base (1 kg-4 kg) and whether it is indoor or outdoor. Whether it is windy or not, sometimes weight bags (round or square water ballast or sandbags) are recommended to stabilize the entire setup.

Base Plate Flag

Base plates are for hard ground, such as sidewalks and hardwood floors. Weight bags are needed to support the entire flag display outdoors if the weight of the metal base plate is not enough (for example, 5kg or 10kg). The small base plate is also great for indoor use because the base sits flat on the ground.

Since the base plate does not collapse down like the cross-base, the big base plate is not recommended for travel purposes.

Water filled Base

Molded water bases are also for securing your flag on hard ground. They are easy to use indoors without water, or you can simply carry the empty hardshell water tank base and fill the tank with water or sand. If you need big weight and low cost to secure your flying flag, then the water-fillable plastic ballast base will be the best choice.

Car base
